Happy New Year to all Our Parents, Pupils and Supporters!

Swimming
The next classes to avail of swimming lessons are 6th, Snr. Infants and 1st. This started on Friday 23rd January 2009 for 8 weeks.  The fee is €50.  We can offer this reduced price thanks to money raised by the Parents Association bag packing and to a subsidy received from the Board of Management. (The actual cost is €72 per child).  So take full advantage while the money lasts!

Dancing
Parents who are paying by the term should forward €10 to cover the dancing to Easter.

Tallagt IT Tour
Children from 5th and 6th class visited Tallaght IT on Wednesday 21st January.  They carried out experiments in the chemistry and Biology lab, after which they were treated to lunch in the cafeteria.  Thanks to Marion Reardon of the School Completion programme for making this possible.

Bag Packing in Tesco
On Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd the school ran a bag packing fundraiser in Tesco Wicklow.  We raised approximately €1600. Thank you to those parents who took the time to help out.  One suggestion is that money raised be used to subside swimming lessons.

Christmas Outing
The junior end of the school is looking forward to their trip to Kia-ora Mini Farm on Thursday 11th.

Welcome
We wish a warm welcome to all our students and especially to our 18 junior infants. They have settled in remarkably well. Everyone has made a big effort with very smart school uniforms and visitors to the school have remarked on how well the children look. The children from 3rd – 6th class wear their school uniforms everyday of the week. On P.E. day they should bring tracksuits and runners to school with them. They change into their P.E gear and change back into their uniforms (this includes their school shoes) afterwards.

On Wednesday they again wear their school uniform (including school shoes). Junior and Senior Infants and 1st Class wear tracksuits to school on Monday for dancing and on Friday for P.E day.  Children from 2nd and 3rd class wear their school uniform everyday of the week except for Tuesday when they may wear their tracksuit to school for P.E.
